Features

BKT Standard OM3 fibre optic pigtails are available in all major connector configurations.

Each BKT pigtail connector, regardless of its type, boasts a ceramic ferrule that precisely centers the fibre. These ferrules are characterised by their high-precision manufacturing and excellent resistance to temperature-induced deformation. BKT fibre optic multimode pigtails are available in one type of ferrule: PC (Physical Contact). The high production quality and repeatability of BKT fibre optic connectors guarantees very low insertion and reflection losses whilst ensuring long service life and outstanding mechanical reliability.

Optical fibre in OM3 specification is commonly referred to as 3rd generation multimode fibre, offers a bandwidth of 1500MHz/km for LED light source (850nm) and 2000MHz/km for VCSEL light source (850nm).

The optical fibre in BKT pigtails is surrounded by a 0.9mm diameter halogen-free (LS0H) sheath. This loose tube sheath is easily stripped back up to 2m dramatically reducing preparation time for splicing and assembly. BKT fibre optic pigtails are available as single-packed items in various sheath colours as well as twelve-colour sets.
