Euro-Centrum Science and Technology Park
The Investor required a high quality of server racks at a relatively affordable price. In addition, the investment needs were connected with custom development, fast installation and comprehensive delivery while maintaining the product compatibility. Technical support and supervision of the project implementation were also expected.
Description of the project:
The Euro-Centrum Science and Technology Park was established in June 2014. Its surface area is approx. 500 m2, consists of rooms equipped with proper systems for guaranteed power supply, air-conditioning, access control and twenty-four hour surveillance by the management system.
The investment involved the completion of full space for the Data Centre, including: construction and installation work, design and construction of power supply, automation and targeted air-conditioning systems, selection of server racks with power distribution system, active and passive data transmission systems, and software solutions for infrastructure management.
The Park's Data Centre has access to optical fibre WAN and LAN with data transmission rate of up to 10 Gbit/s, two power lines from two separate points and twenty-four hour surveillance and 24/7/365 support. Currently, 76 racks are used for service collocation, including 20 high density racks with a power of 14 kW, whereas the remaining are 6 kW units.
The scope of supply included:
- BKT 4DC server racks in the amount of 84 pieces.
- Cabinets built-in in the isles separating hot air from cold air.
- Three-phase power distribution units in the amount of 188 pieces.
- Copper connections – Cat 6A – 720 lines
- Optical fibre connections – 24xOM3, 24xOS2, LC – 2256 lines.
The entire system was confirmed by measurements in Class EA according to ISO/IEC 11801 Am 2.
The complete IT infrastructure of BKT has become an integral part of the Data Centre system by obtaining UptimeInstituteTier III Certificate, which confirms the high standards of safety, reliability and availability.
The value of the supplies: approx. PLN 1 million.
