"Internet for Mazovia" – Regional Broadband Network

The main objective of the project was to provide the residents, entrepreneurs, government bodies and public administration authorities with access to the selected operator of electronic communications and the selected technological platform with access to the services under the NGA network in the areas of digital exclusion.

The project focused on areas where there was no NGA infrastructure and private investors did not plan any investments in this respect in the next 3 years. The aim was to provide communication operators with access to subsidised backbone and distribution infrastructure to encourage investments in the last mile NGA segments.

Another objective of the project was to enable the use of the new network to eliminate the "digital divide" in access to the basic broadband services in the areas without adequate infrastructure.

The "Internet for Mazovia" infrastructure was also made available to the public administration by promoting electronic services, in particular in the field of e-administration, e-education and e-health.

The purpose of the project was to provide equal development opportunities in the area of the Information Society and to increase the economic competitiveness of the region.

The scope of supply included:

BKT 2x35U 2400/725/1980 outdoor cabinets with power, battery and switching compartments (Anti-graffiti coating) with accessories in the amount of 100 pieces.

BKT 19"-2" 2x35U 1300/725/1820 outdoor cabinets based on aluminium profile, with double-leaf door (Anti-graffiti coating) in the amount of 40 pieces.

Micro cables with a total length of 1,890 km and BKT bundles with a length of 1,600 km.

BKT connectors (20,000 pcs.); BKT end plugs (2,500 pcs.); BKT splice closures (700 pcs.)

Optical fibre accessories (pigtails, adapters, caps, cassettes and shifters).

The applied technologies meet the requirements of the following national and international standards: PN EN 50086-2-4, ISO TR9080, PN EN 921; PN EN 60794-5, IEC 60304, PN EN 60794-1-2-E1, E3, Orange Polska SA ZN-14/OPL-005-02; IEC 61753-1 Grade B, PN EN 61300-3-4, PN EN 61300-3-6.

The total value of the supplies exceeded PLN 18 million.
