Warsaw Railway Junction

Purpose of the investment: Modernisation and expansion of the public security system at the railway stations of the Warsaw Railway Junction (WWK).

One of the most important investment projects in which BKT Elektronik participated was the modernization of the Warsaw Railway Junction. The purpose of the work was to expand and modernise the CCTV system, create an access control system, intrusion detection system and radiation measurement system, including installation of radioactivity measurement devices on the indicated stations of the WWK. In addition, the fire safety systems were integrated for the railway stations based on the PSIM platform in the Train Station Security Centre.

As part of a comprehensive offer our company presented the design concept and supplied: structured outdoor and interior cabling, optical fibre cables, server racks with a power distribution and environmental monitoring system, and outdoor cabinets.

The following stations were modernised: Warszawa Centralna, Dworzec WKD Warszawa Śródmieście, Warszawa Ochota, Warszawa Zachodnia, Warszawa Powiśle, Warszawa Stadion, Warszawa Wschodnia, Warszawa Wileńska, Warszawa Gdańska, Warszawa Lotnisko Chopina and Centrum BDK.

Thanks to the project, the Investor obtained high quality cabling supporting 10 GB applications, product compatibility that ensures the highest quality of security, ongoing support, technical assistance and supervision over implementation. In addition, we provided outdoor cabinets with 30-year service life and a warranty of the proper selection of equipment for the environment, confirmed by certificates.

The value of the investment (part carried out by BKT): PLN 1.2 million.
